Last Call: Atlassian ends sale of server apps

Atlassian has announced that it will change the offering structure of its server products on February 15, 2023. These changes are related to Atlassian's focus on cloud development and thus mark the end of the lifecycle of the server variant.

New Server App Licenses: only a few weeks left

Therefore, you only have until February 15 to purchase new server app licenses in the Atlassian Marketplace. After that, new licenses for server apps will no longer be offered. However, existing app licenses for the Server Edition can still be extended until the end of the Server Edition term on 15.02.2024.

Alternatively, Data Center licenses are still available. Another option is to migrate to the cloud. The cloud offers several advantages over an on-premises solution. These include lower costs for the IT infrastructure, the possibility of scalable use and the focus of future Atlassian developments on cloud-based offerings.

No more Atlassian Support for Server Apps

By the way: Regular support and bug fixes for the server edition will also end on February 15, 2023, but Atlassian will continue to provide security patches for these products until February 2024. Please note that the sale of new server licenses was discontinued in February 2021 and that it has not been possible to make any changes to existing server licenses since February 2022.
