Atlassian Intelligence (AI) was available to selected customers during the beta test phase before being made available to all customers in December 2023. However, from August 16, 2024, access to this feature will unfortunately be blocked for customers on the Free and Standard plans.
Atlassian Intelligence is currently available in the Premium and Enterprise products. In December 2023, customers who participated in the open beta test phase (in the Free and Standard versions) were given a transition period to continue using Atlassian Intelligence for a limited time. This period is now ending for customers on Free and Standard plans. Therefore, if you wish to continue using Atlassian Intelligence, you will need to switch to a Premium plan.
Which products are affected?
These products will lose access to Atlassian Intelligence:
- Confluence Free/Standard Plan
- Jira Free/Standard Plan
- Jira Service Management Free/Standard Plan
- Bitbucket Free/Standard Plan
Note: In the Premium and Enterprise plan, you still have access to Atlassian Intelligence. No further steps are required.
What is the timeline?
- July 12, 2024: Sending the first email notification
- July 12 - August 16, 2024: in-product notifications
- August 16, 2024: Notification of the end of the transition phase and deactivation of AI functions for Free/Standard versions
Atlassian Intelligence: added value and application examples

- Expanding teams through AI-supported actions: faster decision-making and problem-solving, e.g. with the Automated Rule Builder (Natural Language)
- Unlock the value of big data: Data can be transformed into useful knowledge
- Atlassian Intelligence will also be included in Rovo's Enterprise and Premium environments in the future (currently in the Early Access Program)
You can act faster by transforming Natural Language into JQL or SQL without knowing the query language.
