The buzzwords Artificial Intelligence (AI), OpenAI and ChatGPT have been buzzing around the media landscape for a good six months now. However, AI has been in use in numerous areas for much longer. Atlassian is now also relying on artificial intelligence and presented its version of AI (Atlassian Intelligence) at the Atlassian Team'23 event in Las Vegas.

Atlassian Unleash, a one-day event on the topics of "Agile" and "DevOps", took place at the Berlin Congress Center on February 9. In the keynote speech, the Australian software company Atlassian presented new features for the existing product suite. The keynote motto "Level up to Mulitplayer Mode" already clearly indicated where the journey is heading: teams should be able to work together even better and more playfully in Jira, Confluence and co.

Atlassian has announced that it will change the offering structure of its server products on February 15, 2023. These changes are related to Atlassian's focus on cloud development and thus mark the end of the lifecycle of the server variant.

Atlassian has revised its security products and bundled them under the new name Atlassian Guard . The previous solutions Atlassian Access and Atlassian Beacon Beta have been renamed Atlassian Guard Standard and Atlassian Guard Premium. These two products aim to improve security for Atlassian Cloud customers. They protect access to sensitive data and detect threats at an early stage. However, these features are not available for Data Center customers. Atlassian Guard Standard and Premium are only available in the cloud. Data center users must fall back on alternative security solutions.

On October 16, 2024, price and package changes for various Atlassian products will take effect. These changes affect the prices for the cloud versions of Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, Opsgenie, Bitbucket, Atlassian Guard (formerly Atlassian Access) and Compass.
